Congratulations to the boys' varsity golf team who improved their record last week with two more league wins. The Titans beat Cousino on Tuesday at Sycamore Hills, led by Tim Meister, Andrew Kotcher, Alex Girardi, and Christian Fredericks. The Titans finished the week with a win on Thursday against Fraser at Maple Lane, led by Meister, Jake Fenwick, Girardi, and Kotcher. The team is 6-0 overall and 4-0 in league. Great job! The team takes a pause in league play this week as they compete in four tournaments over the next seven days. Good luck gentlemen.
The Stevenson Boys 4x100 Team set a new school record Tuesday against Henry Ford running 42.82 seconds surpassing the record that was ran by Alls, Tennessee, Frank, Valek in 1997 (ran 43.2). Ronnie Hill (3rd from left) also set a new school record for the 200-meter dash by running 22.55 seconds in the event beating a record held by Jon Strong for over 10 years! Pictured from left to right are Landon Porter (11), David Keel (12), Ronnie Hill (11), and Karnell Moore (11).
Stevenson Titan Athletes could use your help! We are in the process of redesigning our fieldhouse to create a space for all athletes to work out with state-of-the-art equipment better aligned to their personal athletic goals. While the district and the school are paying for items like HVAC, lighting and flooring, the boosters are raising funds for the equipment. To make this possible we are designing a seasonal program that will highlight our athletes and the businesses that support them!
Sponsorship Opportunities
Our project aims to attract sponsors for new fieldhouse equipment. We offer five sponsorship levels with key benefits, including advertisement in the sports program. The goal is to create a sustainable program providing ongoing support and ensuring the success of our athletic programs.
Fieldhouse Equipment
The new state-of-the-art equipment will benefit all athletic programs at Stevenson. The fieldhouse can accommodate multiple teams simultaneously, fostering a sense of pride among coaches, parents, students, and staff.
How You Can Help
We need everyone's support to ensure this program's success. Here's how you can contribute:
To meet our goal to pilot our first ever program by the beginning of April, we need all sponsor requests in by April 30. Here is a link to a form that will get the process started.
For any questions or feedback, please contact the Athletic Booster Club at
Stevensonathleticboosterclub@gmail.com Thank you for your continued support!
Don’t forget to check out the Stevenson Athletics newsletter! It is updated each week on Monday morning.
ATTENTION – The school day ends at 2:14 p.m. Students must exit the building by 2:30 p.m. Any student who is staying after school must be under the supervision of a staff member, coach, or teacher. If practice is not immediately after school, students are expected to go home and return at their practice time. Also note that students are not allowed in the gyms at any time unless a coach or teacher is present.
No outside food or beverages are permitted, students can get lunch/breakfast from the cafeteria, school store or bring a lunch.
ATTENDANCE When a student has accumulated 11 absences* in any one class over the course of a semester, the student will be notified in a meeting with an assistant/associate principal that they have lost credit in that class and that they are placed on an attendance contract to earn the credit back. There are two parts to a contract. First, the student must pass the class with a D- or higher. Second, the student will show improvement in attendance in ALL classes. Improvement is determined on a sliding scale which allows for 1 absence for every three weeks (rounded up) left in the semester for each class.
A reminder to all students, you are required to always wear your ID badge. Not only for security reasons, but because you need to scan them at lunch! So, please make sure you are wearing your ID badge around your neck.
STUDENT DRESS CODE Students must adhere to the guidelines outlined in the student handbook.
• Indecent, tattered, or unsafe dress or footwear, or attire that calls undue attention to the wearer or has lettering or symbols that are disrespectful or derogatory are not allowed. • Beach wear, low-cut tops, tank tops, sleeveless tops, muscle shirts, see-through clothing, short skirts or shorts, pajamas, tight clothing without proper coverage and clothing exposing the shoulders or mid-section are not allowed. • Students should not wear clothing with inappropriate advertising like Playboy shirts or similar items. • Hats are not allowed in school unless explicit permission for a medical or religious reason is reached. • Knee length shorts and skirts are acceptable. Shoes must be worn. • Outerwear, such as coats and hats, is not to be worn in school. • Clothing that promotes illegal substances or drugs, illegal activities, violence, tobacco, or alcohol is prohibited. • Clothing or head coverings worn as group identifiers that promote a disruptive school climate are prohibited. • Clothing consistent with religious or cultural beliefs is acceptable. • Jewelry and accessories that may be deemed dangerous are prohibited.
