    Good afternoon Titan community,

This week was a reminder of just how unpredictable Michigan weather can be. There’s a saying many of us know well: “If you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes—it will change.” Fall is in full swing, but winter seems eager to get a head start. While the back-and-forth can be frustrating, it’s one of the things I love most about our state. The changing seasons bring new perspectives, fresh scenery, and a reminder that change—though sometimes surprising—is part of growth.

Each day at school reflects that same idea. No two days are the same, and no student, parent, or teacher interaction is identical. After 30 years in education, I can say with certainty that change keeps us learning and evolving. It can feel uncomfortable at times, but it pushes us forward.

We now have about five weeks remaining in the semester, and this is the first major checkpoint. If students aren’t in full academic mode yet, now is the time to get going. And for those already giving their best—keep the momentum! There is still plenty of time left to finish strong.  The next Titan Voice will be sent out on December 5, 2025.

Report cards were sent on October 31. While semester grades determine final credit, each marking period matters and accounts for 40% of the semester grade. Let’s work together to make these remaining weeks productive and successful for every student.

Mid term exams will take place Wednesday December 17 through Friday, December 19.  Please note that all three days will follow a half-day schedule, with students dismissed at 10:17 a.m.

    Exam Schedule:

Wednesday December 17: 1st and 2nd hour exams

Thursday December 18:  3rd and 4th hour exams

Friday December 19:  5th and 6th hour exams

Now that the weather is changing, please make sure you and your students are planning for the weather to get to class on time.  Students must be in their classroom at 7:15 a.m.

IMPORTANT Reminder that students MUST BE ON TIME to class, or they could lose their parking permits.

Student Parking – Students could lose their parking permit for:  Irresponsible Driving, persistent disciplinary issues or 5 or more tardies.  See the Titan Voice for more details.

Parking is only available to juniors and seniors.  Sophomore parking permits will be available for the 2nd semester based on availability and student’s attendance.  All fines and fees must be paid.

Laptop Chargers – There is no reason that your student should come to school without their laptop fully charged.  New rules for borrowed chargers:

Chargers will not be available to loan out before 4th hour.

Laptops are to be charged overnight and if not, students are to bring their charger to school.

Stevenson High School Troupe 33 presents Pirates! Theodore Thud and he Quest for Weird Beard November 14 and 15 @7:00pm and November 16 @ 2:00pm.  See the Titan Voice to purchase tickets.

I want to remind parents that there is no parking on the side streets across from Stevenson High School. There are “No Parking” signs along the street and the police will be monitoring.
