    Good afternoon Titan community,

As we approach the end of the first card marking, I want to remind you to continue checking your students grades and attendance in PowerSchool.  The card marking ends on October 31 and first quarter report cards will be emailed on November 7.  While grades are calculated by semester, those marking periods add up, accounting for 40% of that semester grade. My team of teachers has been incredible with making work and expectations accessible for students.  Please take the weekend and review grades with your student. IF they are struggling, they need to check Schoology, they need to study what they are missing, learn it – whether they get credit or not. Some teachers have late work and redo policies, and some of the work missed may be past that opportunity. It is still learning that needs to happen as it will be expected knowledge on student midterm exams. There are about 9 more weeks until the end of the semester, but the first big check-in is now. If they’re not already, it’s time to kick it into gear. It’s time to keep their foot on the pedal! There is still a lot of time left in the first semester, so let’s make the more of it.

The complete 2025-26 UCS Calendar is now available. Follow the below link to see important dates for the remainder of this year. Please note: October 31 – Halloween – is the end of the first quarter and will be a half-day for elementary students.  https://www.uticak12.org/Page/2#calendar1/20251015/month

There is NO SCHOOL on Tuesday November 4 for Election Day.

Your Titan Marching Band did it again - straight division I (superior) ratings from a panel of three adjudicators at D16 Marching Band Festival at Troy HS on Wednesday night.

Congratulations to the 116 members of the Stevenson Marching Band.  This is the result of hundreds of hours of intense preparation!

Stevenson is creating a Wellness Room. If you would like to donate to help make the room amazing, please check out our Amazon wish list here.  Thank you for your support!

Reminder that students MUST BE ON TIME to class, or they could lose their parking permits.

College Month at Stevenson High School

College Month at Stevenson High School is off to a great start! Counselors continue to host the College Lunch Series every Monday and Thursday throughout October during all lunch periods.

We have also had tremendous success with our College Representative Visits. Representatives from various universities have met with students in small groups to discuss specific majors, scholarships, and campus life—giving our seniors valuable insight as they plan for their futures.

On October 7th, Dr. Carrie Gilchrist visited Stevenson and met with the entire senior class to assist students in setting up their FSA ID for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The FAFSA opened early this year on September 24th!

If you haven’t completed your application yet, please use this link:

The Counseling Department is excited to share that the Post-Secondary Wall has been updated for our seniors! It’s now a fun, interactive space that students can enjoy and celebrate their future plans for years to come. We need to give Stevenson High School student, Isabela Rodriguez (pictured below) a huge shout-out for bringing this vision to life!

The Senior Signing Wall will be ready by October 27th — encourage students to sign the wall and take a photo in front of “Future in Flight” to commemorate their next chapter!

Lastly, if you are not already following us on Instagram, please do so @stevensoncounseling.

Juniors – Week of October 20 -24 you will take the PSAT/NMSQT, which measures skills learned in school to assess college and career readiness.  It serves as a qualifying exam for the prestigious Narion Merit Scholarship Program.

The Writing Center (Room E-73) is OPEN during all lunches!

Honors Writing senior tutors offer face-to-face drop-in tutoring (walk-ins depend on tutor availability) and also accept online submissions. Electronic submissions can be sent to angel.favazza@uticak12.org—please allow at least two school days for feedback.

We look forward to helping you strengthen your writing, whether it’s a college application essay, a research project, or anything in between!

PLEASE NOTE: Stevenson High School is a CLOSED CAMPUS, meaning students are not allowed to leave the campus during the school day.

Students are NOT permitted to have food or beverages delivered to Stevenson High School at any time during the school day. This includes Door Dash, Grub Hub, and any other delivery services or family members.
