CLICK HERE FOR THE LATEST EDITION OF THE TITAN VOICE
Good afternoon Titan community,
We have finished this year’s state testing and have moved onto the AP testing. The testing went well and now it’s time to focus on finishing the school year strong. The 4th quarter progress reports will be sent out on May 8. Please continue checking grades and attendance in Powerschool and remind your students to be on time for classes.
The school day starts at 7:20 a.m. Students are expected to be in their classrooms at this time. As the weather is getting nicer, students are coming in later and later. Students are also expected to be in their classrooms when the bell rings for each class period. Please remind your students that being late could result in lost credit and/or loss of their parking pass privileges.
Speaking of attendance, beginning Monday 4/29/24 and ending May 31, 2024, we will be initiating an attendance pilot program that is tied to student parking for the next school year (2024-2025). We hope this encourages student attendance and punctuality as we finish the 23-24 school year.
All CURRENT 10th (Class of '26) and 11th (Class of '25) grade students, who have accumulated 5 or more tardies and/or Unexcused absences, will not receive their parking permit for the 1st five weeks of the 2024-25 school year (October 1st 2024). At that point, with responsible attendance, parking will be reevaluated for school year.
*Please encourage your Stevenson student to arrive on time and finish the current school year strong as we attempt to support and encourage good habits moving towards the next school year.

Yearbooks
The yearbook staff has ordered 100 extra 2024 yearbooks. If you have yet to purchase your copy, you can still reserve one of these. Just fill out the attached yearbook sales form and return with payment to Room A-2 with check (made out to Stevenson) or cash. Forms and payment can also be mailed to the school or given to the receptionist to put in Ms. Pantano's mailbox. Yearbooks may also be purchased on PaySchool. Yearbook sales forms are also in the Stevenson newsletter. First come, first served. Don't miss out on preserving your year in Titan history. Your children and grandchildren will thank you. Questions: Contact Ms. Pantano at paula.pantano@uticak12.org
Important Reminders
Every student must wear their ID at all times while on school grounds. A student’s ID card authorizes him/her to be on the school campus. It is crucial that the school staff can identify everyone on campus. The identification of staff and students is a safety issue and will not be compromised. Student IDs may be left in the student’s assigned locker overnight to ensure the student ID is not left at home. Please see the UCS student handbook for more information.
Another important reminder is to take time with your student to review the UCS High School Credit Review Rules and Procedures. In short, it starts by saying that a student has a responsibility to attend, be on time and prepared for each scheduled class. When a student nears or is at 10 absences (any combination of absences or tardies) they will meet with their Associate Principal and parents will be notified. At 11 absences the student will enter Credit Review and can restore those credits by making up the lost time for the classes via a contract made with their associate principal. This cannot be recovered short of testing out, taking the class via scheduling, credit recovery or summer school. Please take the time to read to discuss this with your student, and make sure they understand.
Please be familiar with the UCS dress code. You can find the dress code on the student handbook.
Another reminder is that students are expected to be in school on time. Parking Permits may be suspended for the following reasons:
❖ Excessive unexcused absences or tardies
❖ Careless or reckless driving
❖ Persistent disciplinary issues
Please continue checking the Stevenson website and Titan Voice for more information regarding important dates, counseling updates, and school and district happenings. This information is updated frequently.
With Titan Pride,
Kenneth L. Cucchi III
