    Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are excited to announce the upcoming Senior Picture Day at Stevenson High School on Thursday, Nov. 21 and Friday, Nov. 22. Two photographers will be on-site for cap and gown poses and traditional headshots for the yearbook and graduation composite. While the cap and gown shot are optional the traditional headshot is required.

If your student has already scheduled a session at Kaiser or another studio, they are not required to take another headshot at school. Students will have the opportunity to choose the image that will be used for both the yearbook and the graduation composite on Picture Day. Only one image can be selected for both purposes.

Within 2-3 weeks of Picture Day, students will receive an email containing an online ordering code to place orders. Please ensure your student is aware of these details so we can make this a memorable milestone for the Class of 2024!

There’s still time to order a yearbook! Please login to https://www.jostens.com/ to purchase a yearbook and purchase a special message to your senior.

     Thank you!

    Kaitlin Edgerton, yearbook adviser

    Recommended Standardized Tests for Seniors

    SAT or ACT

    • Colleges will take SAT or ACT scores. They do NOT require both and there is no preference for either.
    • You should have already taken the SAT during junior year. If you would like to re-test, you may register on your own at www.collegeboard.com
    • If you would like to take the ACT, register on your own at www.actstudent.org

    SAT II Subject Tests

    • NOT NEEDED by any college in Michigan
    • Only needed if you are applying to a HIGHLY SELECTIVE university (like Harvard).
    • Students must register for SAT II Subject tests on their own through CollegeBoard.
    • Colleges will specify if they require the SAT II Subject tests, so do your research!

    AP Tests

    • Hello Stevenson Seniors and Families,

Seniors can begin completing the 25-26 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) beginning December 1st.

The FAFSA is required for all students who would like state and federal financial aid for two-year and four-year colleges and for the skilled trades programs and hot jobs certificates offered at Macomb Community College.

To be ready to complete the FAFSA when it opens, we recommend creating your Federal Student Aid (FSA) account in November, using this link:

Each senior and at least one parent/guardian will need an account.  Parents with older kids in college may already have an account.

If you are wondering how many parents/step-parents in a family will need an account, this chart may help:

For more Financial Aid info, you can visit Stevenson's Counseling page:
