    How to be FAFSA ready : FAFSA Form Ready 2025-26

    The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) can help students access FREE money for training for Michigan's hottest jobs, training for trades, and two-year and four-year colleges. 

    The amount of aid provided is based on financial need. Students may be offered grants or loans from the federal government to assist in paying for tuition.

     

    By applying for FAFSA, students may also qualify for FREE money for school from the State of Michigan.

    We encourage EVERY senior to apply for the FAFSA! It is FREE to apply!

     

    Before completing the FAFSA, every senior and one parent will need to create an FSA ID:

    The State of Michigan offers students a variety of scholarships and grants that they may be eligible for. Within 3-5 days of completing the FAFSA, the State of Michigan will receive and review financial information to determine if a student is eligible for financial assistance or scholarships.

    Scholarships/Grants Available from MI Student Aid:

    Tuition Incentive Program: Provides 2 years of free community college to Michigan students who received Medicaid coverage for 24 months between ages 9-18.
