Jeannette Junior High School Points of Pride
- Jeannette students and staff practice 3 pillars every day: Community, Integrity, and Leadership. These pillars guide our behavior and beliefs, and influence how we treat each other and make Jeannette the place that it is every day.
- Jeannette students speak over 25 different languages, including Chaldean, Arabic, Tagalog, Ukrainian, Chinese, and Urdu. Our diversity is our strength and teaches our students to live harmoniously with each other.
- Jeannette students raise money and goods for several charity organizations, including an annual Make-a-wish initiative and Toys for Tots.
- Jeannette's students have consistently raised their AP scores in AP Human Geography, going from 36% earning a score of 3 or above in 2021 to 64% earning a 3 or above in 2024. More and more students earn 5 (the highest score possible) each year.
In conjunction with a comprehensive program in core academic subjects at the secondary level, students also have a broad selection of elective and exploratory classes. With programs such as our Utica Center for Science and Industry (UCSI); Utica Center for Mathematics, Science and Technology(UCMST); Utica Center for Applied Learning; and the Utica Academy for International Studies (UAIS), we meet the needs of students at every level. These programs help foster a college culture within our schools and provide your child with the opportunity to explore various interests as early as junior high school.
