Henry Ford II Scholarships
The Henry Ford II Foundation offers two different scholarships to senior students who will attend a post-secondary school/program next fall. These non-renewable scholarships are available to students pursuing one of the following educational options:
· Students pursuing vocational training requiring less than 4 years of schooling
· Students pursuing an associate degree (2 years)
· Students pursuing an associate degree with the intent of transferring to a 4-year program
· Students who will immediately seek a baccalaureate (4-year) degree.
Henry Ford II Scholastic Falcon Scholarship
(Factors considered are GPA, SAT/ACT Score, Number of AP Classes, Number of Honor Classes and Financial Need)
Henry Ford II Senior Falcon Scholarship
(Factors considered are Financial Need, Number of family dependents, Number of Students in College, GPA)
Additional scholarships that are available to Ford II seniors are:
Browning Elementary Alumni Scholarship - See Ms. Anderson in the counseling office.
Havel Elementary Alumni Scholarship - See Ms. Anderson in the counseling office.
Each scholarship is due during the spring semester.
Please contact the counseling office for additional information.
Funding for the scholarships is accumulated through annual counseling departmental fundraising.
The number of scholarships awarded is determined by the amount of money raised and by the number of annual applicants.
Students may only win one of the two scholarships offered.

Description:  One application for numerous scholarships. Students can register in the scholarship portal and apply for any scholarship for which they are eligible. Contact the Program Officer at the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, at scholarships@cfsem.org with questions.

MEA Scholarship
Sponsor: Michigan Education Association (MEA)
Amount: Variable
Closing Date: February
Description: Several scholarships will be awarded to young men and women who are dependent of an MEA member or MEA-Retired member in good standing and a graduate of a Michigan public high school or private high school that has an MEA bargaining unit. Students must have plans to attend an undergraduate program of a Michigan public community/junior college, four-year degree-granting institution, or vocational training institution that grants a degree, certificate, or license. Those attending the following private institutions ONLY are also eligible: Baker College-Flint/Owosso; University of Detroit–Mercy; Adrian College; Finlandia University; and Albion College. (The aforementioned private institutions are existing local MEA affiliates.) Priority is given based on achievement, extra-curricular activities, school and community service, and students from lower-income households.

Community Choice Foundation Scholarship for Graduating Seniors

Description: Community Choice Foundation believes that learning is a life-long process and is proud to offer 15 scholarships to students who have the desire to attend college in Michigan.  Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, have a strong record of Giving Big to the community through volunteerism or public service, must be accepted at a two- or four-year Michigan college or university, and have a desire to live and work in Michigan after attaining a college degree.   The link to apply is below.  Additional questions can be directed to Jeremy Cybulski at 877-243-2528.

Description: Skilled trades will play an important role in Michigan’s future. Sterling Heights Area Community Foundation Scholarship Program 
Sponsor: Sterling Heights Area Community Foundation 
Amount: Nineteen scholarships ranging from $1,000 - $2,000  
Closing Date: Postmarked by March
Description: The SHACF scholarship program offers nineteen scholarships totaling $32,000. Students can apply for no more than two scholarships listed on the application with each scholarship having its own separate requirements.

Friends of Macomb Township Scholarship
Sponsor: Friends of Macomb Township Foundation
Amount: Six $1,000 awards
Closing Date: March by postal delivery or in person.
Description: Graduating high school seniors who are residents of Macomb Township and who plan on attending a higher education or career/technical institution for 2020/2021 school year can apply.

Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union

Robert A. Leonard Scholarship

Amount: 15 awards will be granted ranging from $750 - $7,500

Rosa Parks Scholarship

Description:  The Rosa L. Parks Scholarship Foundation is dedicated to awarding scholarships to Michigan high school seniors who hold close to Mrs. Parks' ideals while demonstrating academic skills, community involvement, and economic need.

Amount: Twenty-four scholarships ranging from $1,000 - $1,500

Description: Scholarships are not based on financial needs. To be eligible, the student or his/her parents must be employed at a business that is a member of the Michigan Retailers Association. Please see the counseling office for additional information.

Description:  The SWE-NATIONAL chapter annually awards several scholarships to exceptional high school senior women who intend to pursue a degree in engineering.

Description: Six scholarships for students who plan to pursue a career in the medical field. Applicants must be high school seniors in Oakland, Macomb, St. Clair, or Wayne counties, with a minimum of 3.5 GPA.

Sponsor: Shelby Lions Club 
Amount:  Four $2,000 scholarships available 
Closing Date: April 1st
Description: Four $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to students who meet the following eligibility requirements and are selected by the Shelby Township Lions Scholarship Committee. Students must be a graduating HS senior with a 2.5 GPA or higher, reside in Shelby Twp., and attend public school.  Students must be a U.S. Citizen, and have documentation of acceptance to a post-secondary educational/technical/vocational institution.  Visit the website for the application and additional details.

Fluid Power Scholarship
Sponsor: National Fluid Power Association
Amount: Multiple $2,000 scholarships available

Description: A minimum of 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale, a 500-word essay, and one letter of recommendation are required from each applicant. The Foundation’s goal is to help graduating high school seniors, and individuals enrolled at technical colleges, community colleges, and universities pursue their interests in fluid power.

The Donovan Xavier Baker Scholarship 
Sponsor: The Donovan Xavier Baker Scholarship Fund 
Amount: $2,500 award

Description: A scholarship offered to African American males ages 17-22 to assist in post-high school education. Donovan graduated from Benjamin O. Davis Aerospace & Technical High School, attended Henry Ford Community College, and was attending Ohio Technical College as a full-time student and only had 9 months to complete his education as an Automotive Technician when his life was cut short. Kiwanis Club of Utica-Shelby Township Scholarship
Sponsor: Kiwanis Club of Utica-Shelby
Amount: $1,000, non-renewable

Description:  The Scholarship winners receive a $1,000 scholarship  and may re-apply if they are still attending  college. The committee receives the applications, and each application is reviewed on many facets, including  Community Service, Academic Achievement, and Financial Needs.  The Scholarship Program is made possible by fundraising activities from the Kiwanis Club of Utica Shelby Township. Robotics Challenge Scholarship
Sponsor: National Fluid Power Association
Amount: $7,500 per year for up to four years

Description: Graduating high school seniors who participate as part of a FIRST®â€ŻRobotics, National Robotics League, or VEX Robotics Competition Team and use pneumatics in their  robot. A minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, a 1,000-word essay, and one letter of recommendation are required from each applicant. The goal of the NFPA Robotics Challenge Scholarship is to bring an awareness of pneumatic options in  robotics  to high school students and to stimulate increased use of fluid power products in these competitions.

Description: The Homer J. Van Hollenbeck Foundation will be providing $3000 scholarships to hardworking current high school students in the Macomb County area.  Applicants must maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher and demonstrate financial need.

Prime Scholarship
Sponsor: Prime Medical Alert
Amount: Up to five $1,000 scholarships

Description: Scholarship is open to students working towards a two-year or four-year Nursing degree.
Senior Planning Social Work & Eldercare Award
Sponsor: Senior Planning
Amount: 1–5 awards each semester-minimum award is $900
Closing Date: July for fall; December 15 for Spring
Description: Scholarship is open to U.S. citizens and permanent residents who are high school seniors or undergraduate students with less than 90 credit hours. The applicant should be working towards a degree in social work with the intent of assisting seniors and the elderly upon graduation.
